Around here, we like things a little different.
We started out as Dragonheart Designs in Canada (Kitchener, Ontario), where there were very few options for roleplaying game accessories. We noticed there was a real need for people in the area to have access to these items.
We opened our first retail location in October 2020 at King and Ottawa, which ended up being the unofficial Road Construction Capitol of Kitchener and that made it very difficult for people to find us. We changed our name to Dragonheart Dice along the way and greatly increased our selection of dice and D&D accessories.
In order to better serve our customers, we moved the retail location in February 2023 to Victoria and Bruce. This was a much larger location and we finally had the ability to open The Dungeon and invite groups in to play D&D and other awesome games. This retail location is still open and happily serving the KW area.
As of March 2024, the store was sold to a new owner and was separated from the website. The website moved to the US (Scottsdale, Arizona) and is changing to Playful Mimic. We are excited about this new iteration and all of the nuances that are sure to be revealed as we go.
What a journey so far! We look forward to sharing this new chapter in our evolution with all of our amazing customers!
